More Than 1,000 Teens in Florida Will Learn Emotional Intelligence Through the Partnership Between the Ismael Cala Foundation and the Acevedo Foundation

To expand their impact and reach more vulnerable youth and teenagers in the United States, beginning in Florida, the Ismael Cala Foundation and the Acevedo Foundation have joined forces for the common good.

Both organizations announced a strategic partnership that will allow them to extend their reach to more than 1,000 vulnerable young people and teenagers in the state of Florida. Through this alliance, a total of five educational institutions will benefit from the training of 30 facilitators in leadership and emotional intelligence.

Convinced of the importance of working together in service of the greater good, both organizations are combining their efforts and shared purpose to help build a better future through education centered on leadership and emotional intelligence.

The training model behind this initiative is based on preparing trainers who will then deliver the program directly to young participants. The first phase will focus on training 30 facilitators by the end of the year. They will then be responsible for implementing the program in five schools across Florida, reaching approximately 200 students per school.

As their first fundraising initiative, both organizations are preparing for the Legacy of Light Gala, which will take place in Miami on September 7 and will feature Puerto Rican singer Olga Tañón.

In the words of Jenisbel Acevedo, president of the Acevedo Foundation:
“For us, it is important to give back a little of what we have received. So many people have trusted us with their health and helped us grow our company, La Colonia Medical Center. That has enabled us to become the medical institution we are today. If I can use the resources generated by that business, which has brought us so much joy and fulfillment, to bring even a little happiness to people in need, how could I not do it?”

For his part, communicator and life strategist Ismael Cala said:
“This is a powerful alliance. We are here not only feeling blessed, but also committed to leaving a mark, building a legacy, and joining forces, because together we are stronger. Thanks to this union of wills, we will do good for many children, young people, mothers, fathers, and, ultimately, vulnerable individuals by bringing this shared dream to life.”

So far, the Ismael Cala Foundation has trained 161 facilitators and benefited more than 3,000 children in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Colombia, the United States, and Venezuela.
