Ismael Cala Foundation Opens Applications for Facilitators for the 2026 “El Vuelo de la Cometa” Educational Program in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay

Ciudad del Este, Paraguay

The Ismael Cala Foundation has announced the opening of applications to select facilitators for El Vuelo de la Cometa – Paraguay Chapter 2026, an educational initiative focused on personal leadership and the development of socio-emotional life skills in adolescents.

The call is open to educators, psychologists, and social sector professionals living in Ciudad del Este who have experience working with adolescents and a strong commitment to volunteerism, leadership, and social transformation. The application period will run from February 2 to February 20, 2026.

The El Vuelo de la Cometa program seeks to make a positive impact on challenges such as high school dropout rates, the influence of negative role models, lack of motivation, and unsafe environments. Through socio-emotional learning and personal leadership development, the program promotes a holistic educational approach designed to help break cycles of poverty and exclusion.

Selected facilitators will receive free theoretical and practical training, including a 40-hour in-person certification program scheduled for March 23–27, 2026. They will then move into the practical phase of the program, working with groups of approximately 30 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 in selected educational institutions from July through September 2026. Official certification as facilitators of the Ismael Cala Foundation will be granted upon successful completion and evaluation of this practical phase.

The facilitator’s role involves leading learning processes centered on emotional intelligence and leadership, applying the Ismael Cala Foundation’s methodology, and creating direct social impact within the local educational community.

The selection process will take place in several stages, including pre-screening, interviews, final selection, and notification of results, between February and March 2026. Official program certification will be awarded in October 2026, following the implementation phase in participating schools.
